Welcome to the Buonomo web page. Our goal is to understand how and why nuclear architecture and DNA replication are coordinated. We are especially interested in their shared links with epigenetics inheritance and the determination of cell identity. Our model system is primarily mouse embryonic stem cells, but we use multiple primary cell types. The lab is part of The Institute of Cell Biology (ICB) at The University of Edinburgh, School of Biological Sciences.
